The lightning-fast pace of the recent changes we’ve been experiencing is
staggering to many leaders, organizations, and some members of your teams.
This rapid, continuous change often results in fear, tension, and miscommunication.
In this fun and information-packed keynote, attendees will learn how to diffuse
tension instantly, initiate tough conversations, and facilitate communications
by using humor. Experts say that information plus emotion equals retention,
and this keynote provides solid information couched with hilarious appropriate humor.

Risk Management Course: Malpractice Claims
An analysis of closed claims data from 2010 to 2019 at one medical
professional liability (MPL) insurance carrier has identified early
warnings around several areas of emerging risk that require attention now.
Although the number of malpractice claims specific to these risks is still
small compared with the volume of some other claims, addressing these
early signals offers a unique opportunity to proactively implement risk
management strategies that could mitigate future lawsuits. These
emerging risks involve a variety of settings, types of care, providers, and
practice tools, including urgent care centers, telemedicine, advanced practice
professionals, and electronic health records. This presentation will look at
each of these risks through case study analysis and a discussion of risk
management strategies.
